    It is our great pleasure to cordially invite you to participate in the 2014 Education Forum for

Asia Annual Conference, which will be held from  October 31 to November 2, 2014 in Chengdu

during the  Fifteenth Western China International Fair. This year’s event, centered on the

theme of “Education· Society ·Innovation” , will be hosted by Chinese National Commission for

UNESCO， National Center for Education and Development, Chengdu Municipal

Government，Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs， Education Department of Sichuan Province,

and will be organized by Secretariat of Education Forum  for Asia, Chengdu Bureau of Expo

Affairs, and Chengdu Education Bureau.  

   The Education Forum for Asia was co-organized by Boao Forum for Asia, China Scholarship

Council and UNESCO and initiated by H.E. Mr. Fidel V.Ramos, former President, The

Philippines, H.E. Mr. Lee Soo Sung, former Prime Minister, Republic of Korea, H.E. Mr.

Sheldon Shaeffer, Director, UNESCO  Bangkok and other seven former governmental officials

and international organization representatives at   December, 2003. Since its founding, EFA has

successfully held ten meetings, annual conference included.   Aimed at "Building Bridges for

Asian Education", Education Forum was established as a high-level platform for Asian high-level

educators, specialists, and scholars to discuss education cooperation and development issues.

    Education has an immediate bearing on national prosperity, people’s well-being and the future

of the country. It is all the educators and general public’s wish to allocate the limited educational

resources more reasonably and remove the current education unfairness. Centered on the theme

of “Education, Society, and Innovation”, this year’s conference will invite forum initiators,

ministers of education, ambassadors, scholars,  representatives of international organizations,

multinational corporations, educational institutes, and social  media to attend. On the c

onference, issues like all- round education, traditional culture, pre-school education,  vocational

education and employment, non-government education, art education etc. will be discussed and  

addressed.  

    In addition, the First China International Education Innovation and Achievement Exhibition,

the Asian Student Photography Exhibition, Asia Foreign Study Scholarship Award Ceremony，

Chinese and Foreign Education Cooperation Contribution Award Ceremony will also be held

simultaneously. Visiting famous schools in Chengdu will also be included into the conference

agenda.

tion Forum for Asia before October 8,  2014 so that timely preparations can be made for your
